How to use the AirClickUSB and Laser Pointer remote controls

Two different USB remote control devices are available to use as presentation tools. They can be used on both Macs and PCs.
They are the AirClickUSB remote control, and the Laser pointer remote control.

AirClick USB

  • requires the installation of a small software application
  • does not require line-of-sight to communicate with your computer
  • works with a variety of popular applications (iTunes, PowerPoint, Quick Time Player)

Laser Pointer USB

  • does not require software installation, quick and easy set-up
  • does need to be pointed directly at the receiver with no obstructions in order to operate
  • works with Power Point

 


AirClick USB Basic Instructions

Components:

  • Receiver Module: this plugs into your USB and receives signal from the remote
  • Remote Control
  • Software disc
  • USB adapter

Software Installation:
Mac
1. Insert the software disc into your Mac, and double-click the AirClickUSB installer
2. The application will be installed into your Applications folder

Windows
1. Insert the software disc into your PC
2. The installer will launch automatically, just follow the prompts to install the application

Mac
1. Plug the Receiver Module into any available USB port on your Mac or PC
2. Double-click the AirClickUSB icon in your Applications folder to launch the software
3. Click the AirClickUSB icon that appears in your menu bar to display the list of AirClick-controllable applications
4. Select an application from the list

PC
1. Plug the Receiver Module into any available USB port on your Mac or PC
2. Right-click the AirClickUSB icon that appears in your System Tray to display the list of AirClick-controllable applications
3. Select an application from the list

 
Laser Pointer USB Basic Instructions

Components

  • Laser pointer
  • USB receiver
  • Extra batteries

How to use it!
1. Plug the USB receiver into your computer
2. Open a Power Point presentation
3. The laser beam button, the page down button, and the page up button are all located along the side of the pointer with the laser beam emitting from the end with the buttons
4. The page down and up buttons can be used to move between slides in your presentation
