Transferring Media and Clearing SD Cards
After using any of IT's cameras for recording class content it is important to transfer the media to your personal computer and clear the SD card for future users.
Panasonic LUMIX GH5
For Windows:
- Connect your computer to the camera using the supplied USB cable.
- Open Computer
- Locate the LUMIX folder
- Open the DCIM folder
- Drag and drop all files within the DCIM folder onto your desktop.
- Once the media is copied to your computer, disconnect the camera and computer.
- Delete media from the camera.
For Mac:
- Connect your computer to the camera using the supplied USB cable
- Open Finder
- Locate the LUMIX folder
- Open the DCIM folder
- Drag and drop all files within the DCIM folder onto your desktop.
- Once the media is copied to your computer, disconnect the camera and computer.
- Delete media from the camera
GoPro HERO7
For Windows and Mac:
- Download and install the Quik desktop app
- Connect the GoPro to your computer using the provided USB-C cable
- Power on the GoPro and follow the on-screen instructions in the Quik App
- Once the media is copied to your computer, disconnect the camera and computer.
- Delete media from the camera
- Power on the camera and swipe up on the touch screen to enter playback mode
- Tap the set of squares in the upper left corner
- Tap the checkbox in the upper left corner
- Tap all the files
- Tap the garbage can to delete all files
Insta360 ONE X
For Windows and Mac:
- Connect the Insta360 ONE X to your computer using the provided USB cable
- Open Finder or Computer and locate the Insta360 file
- Drag and drop video and image files onto your desktop
- Once the media is copied to your computer, delete all files from the Insta360 file to clear the SD card.
