Request Microsoft Office 2016 for State-Owned Computers

 

NOTE: Free versions of Microsoft Office are only available for state-owned computers.

your work computer is First,state-owned, Downloadand theyou installer

would

1. Office Professional 2016 for Windows
2. Office Standard 2016 for macOS

 

Installation Procedure

1. Run the installer
2. Agreelike to therequest terms
3. Click Next through the installation steps
4. Click Install at the end
1. Microsoft Office 2016 shouldan install
5. Delete the Office installer from the computer
6. Empty the trash/recycle bin

 

Verify Office Functionality

1. Launch Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to verify that they open without errors.
2. Once each app has successfully opened go to each's Help Menu > “Check for Updates” 
   1. You can also opt to allow Microsoft to do automatic updates in the background with Microsoft AutoUpdate.

 

Remove old versions

1. Move old versions of Microsoft officeOffice, toplease thesubmit trashan and empty the trash
1. This will remove the older versions, leaving you with the new version
